QOTD: Dale Allison on Dining with Jesus

For the disciples of Jesus, every meal, and not only the last one, had deep eschatological significance. Every meal with Jesus was a salvation meal, an anticipation of the final feast. At each meal he was the host, as he would be at the consummation.[1]
